Many owners and managers collect applications until a set date or time, or until they have collected a certain number of applications.  They then process the applications searching the “best” applicant.

While this is the typical procedure in the industry, MRU does not recommend this approach. MRU believes that the process of  weighing one application against another requires the owner or manager to in essence “discriminate” against one or the other applicant.

A better policy is to have clearly defined guidelines that define a qualified applicant.  The first completed application that is submitted is processed.  If the application meets the minimum standard, the application is accepted, regardless of what other applications are submitted afterwards.
